In the 10/27/1956 Anniston Star there is a game story of Ranburne AL beating Douglasville GA 25-7. Looking on this site I found Douglas County in Douglasville and they had 10 games recored that year but no game 10/26/1956. Could Ranburne have played another team that could have been called Douglasville? Any thoughts would help.

Mike, I looked back at 1955 Douglas Co to see the schedule and They had Douglas Co. 19 Ranbourne 6 on 11-11-1955. That score not listed for Ranbourne on Alabama site. I can not remember if the two year schedule deal had started by then.

Thanks, I read the article on the 1956 game so I guess they did play.
