- Charles "Chunk" Reid coached Vidalia girls from 1970-2017. He just announced his retirement.

- Eric Staples (Perry)1933-65.

- Jesse Crews (Charlton) 1981-2009. If you stretch that to include St. George, that's six more. St. George was in Charlton and Crews was head coach there when it closed and immediately took over at Charlton.

- Similarly, Joseph Williams had about 30 years at Randolph-Clay. He was at Clay County when it merged with Randolph. I have him there as late as 1972. Williams quite possibly moved directly into the role from the segregated Speight High in Clay County. Williams won a state title in the league.

- Mike Ranew had at least 25 years with the Ware County girls.

- Jesse McLeod was at Seminole from 1972-2012.

- Otis Smart has been at Laney for 30+ years now.

- A.Z. Johnson had just over 30 years at Tucker.

There are a few others I don't have definitive years on, such as J.C. Fincher (Doerun).

Selby Buck would have had around 35 for Lanier if not for World War II.

Officiating - if anyone could beat Walt Carter, I'd be shocked.

I don't know when Carter began officiating basketball, but I've found records from 1950 listing him for the formation of the Valdosta Association. Carter retired last year. As in 2016.

Thats a good list.  It seems like someone from North Georgia coached a long time at the same place in basketball but it is escaping me at the moment
